1. Agreement
These Text Messaging Terms of Use ("Terms") govern text messages sent through PlanBill at https://planbill.net. The Text Message Service is operated by Ecle Coastal LLC d/b/a PlanBill ("we," "us," or "our"). By opting in to or receiving text messages from PlanBill, you agree to these Terms. Transactional SMS is a Pro feature and is not available to every organization.
2. Definitions
"Opt-In" means consenting to receive text messages from PlanBill.
"Text Message Service" means text messages (such as SMS or MMS) we send to your mobile phone number.
3. Consenting to text messaging
By consenting to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Consent is collected through an unchecked, optional checkbox on the public estimate page and on the PlanBill-hosted invoice payment page. The checkbox is not required to buy from a business or to use PlanBill. See our text messaging opt-in page for an example of the consent checkbox; it is not a place to subscribe.
4. What we send
The Text Message Service is transactional only. When a recipient has Opted In, we may send texts about invoices, estimates, payment links and confirmations, and due or past-due reminders when the business enables those reminders.
We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
5. Electronic records
By agreeing to receive text messages, you consent to the use of an electronic record to document your agreement. You may withdraw that consent by replying STOP.
6. Privacy of text messages
We only use information you provide through the Text Message Service to transmit your mobile messages and respond to you. This includes sharing information with vendors who assist us in delivering mobile messages. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties except as needed to deliver the service or as required by law. We may disclose information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property.
This section applies to your use of the Text Message Service. Our general Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information in other contexts.
7. Costs
PlanBill does not charge recipients for messages sent through the Text Message Service. Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless plan.
8. Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on invoices, estimates, payments, and reminders.
9. Opting out
To stop text messages, reply STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message from us. Reply HELP for help. The business that sent the message may also record your opt-out in its customer records in PlanBill. After you opt out, we may send a one-time confirmation by text message.
Questions about an invoice, estimate, or payment should go to the business that sent it.
