1. Who operates PlanBill
PlanBill is operated by Ecle Coastal LLC d/b/a PlanBill. The website and service are offered at planbill.net. References to "we" or "us" on this page mean Ecle Coastal LLC d/b/a PlanBill in connection with PlanBill.
2. What we use text messaging for
When SMS is enabled for your business and a customer has opted in, messages are limited to transactional notices tied to your account activity, for example:
- Invoices and invoice-related links
- Estimates and estimate-related links
- Payment links and payment confirmations
- Due-date and past-due reminders (when your business turns on reminder automation and the customer allows reminder texts)
We do not use this channel for promotional or marketing campaigns.
3. How customers opt in
Customers must give explicit consent before transactional SMS is used for automated sends (such as reminders). A supported way to record consent is the customer profile form in the PlanBill dashboard: a clear disclosure and checkbox documents agreement to receive these transactional messages. Your business is responsible for using the mobile number the customer provided and for honoring opt-out requests.
Consent and delivery preferences are stored with the customer record (including when consent was recorded where applicable). This page is provided as a public reference for carriers and reviewers describing how opt-in works in the product.
4. Message frequency and costs
Message frequency varies based on how often your business sends documents, payment activity, and (if enabled) reminder schedules. Message and data rates may apply according to the customer's wireless plan.
5. Opt out and help
Recipients can typically reply STOP to cancel further transactional SMS to that number (standard carrier-supported behavior). They can reply HELP for a short help reply, when supported by the messaging setup. Your business may also update the customer's preferences in PlanBill (for example, marking the customer opted out on their profile).
For account or product help unrelated to keywords, customers should contact your business directly. For questions about PlanBill itself, use the contact information at the end of our Privacy Policy.
6. Privacy and terms
How we handle personal data—including phone numbers—and how we work with messaging providers is described in our Privacy Policy. Use of the service, including messaging capabilities, is subject to our Terms of Service.
